I think its cool,  I  watch it when I can,  but I would love to try it someday though. I think it would be a good way  to keep in shape and I’m always open to trying out new things.

It would have to be Randy Couture, It’s hard not to like that guy. To do what he is doing at his age is unbelievable.

Dave Chappelle to MMA?

December 15, 2008

Comedian and actor Dave Chappelle was recently on an ESPN radio show. The host asked Dave to share  his thoughts on the UFC and the rising popularity of  Mixed Martial Arts  Chappelle responded

Yeah I watch it sometimes, It’s always been something I wanted to do. I don’t mean I’m looking for a career in it  , but you know I would probably do it just for maybe one or two fights.

Chappelle went on to explain his current training in preparation for a potential bout

Like I said earlier man, its only a hobby, but I like training hard. Obviously with my career I’m always all over the place, but when I’m in Vegas, I try and stop in at Xtreme Couture, cause Randy is my boy. But yeah you know, if I’m in a place for more than a few days, I’ll go and train. I really like training down at ATT, they got some awesome guys there.

The host then went on to ask Chappelle about who he would most like to face off against if he were to compete

It doesn’t really matter to me man, I mean if i train hard and correctly it shouldn’t matter. It would be pretty fun to fight Rogan though. I know he trains and is a badass he is pretty big, but it would still be fun . Id like to fight Kat Williams too, yeah I’d really like to fight him.

UFC Champion Comments On His Toughest Opponent

December 13, 2008

When the UFC champion Brock Lesnar was asked recently who he  felt would be his toughest challenger in the future, he gave a surprising answer. Many would have anticipated that his answer would be the winner of the Antonio “Minotauro” Rodrigo Noguera vs. Frank Mir bout scheduled for December 27 at UFC 92 . Lesnar in a interview on ESPN radio stated that the man  he feels would give him the hardest time is Olympic Gold Medalist and current TNA wrestler Kurt Angle.Lesnar went on to explain

“Even though Kurt has not fought in a Mixed Martial Arts match yet, I know from experience that he has all the tools to make it big in MMA”.

Lesnar went on to tell a now famous story about himself and Angle engaging in a sparring session in which Angle was allegedly the superior wrestler.

“I have to tip my hat off to Kurt, he is a better wrestler than I am and that would come into play in MMA”.

Lesnar feels that if Kurt would devote himself to working on his striking and submission defense that within 6 months he could be near the top of the food chain and the most dangerous opponent for his UFC belt.
